cruiser update 2/8/2008: this club has gotten a lot looser very friendly crowd and you can talk in here and hear whom your talking to. for the transgender lover it is getting better a few more are showing up on the weekends.

Previous Description: Oldest gay bar and disco now operating in Winston. Getting a little tired but still draws from Winston and parts west to Statesville mainly. Very loud and smokey, impossible to talk with anyone except on the patio. Most 20s and 30s there to boogie and get plastered. No back room stuff, and bartenders are just OK.. This is a late night LGBT gay venue located in Wakefield on Kirkgate previously known as Downtown. Odyssey is located next door to Mcdonalds opposite Dallas Chicken at the bottom of town.

Sun-Thurs 18h-3h.Fri-Sat 20h-?h

Off Country Club Road. I-40 business to Country Club Road, then west about two miles.

  • Oldest bar in Winston? That's funny! How 'bout the "only" bar in Winston? That would be more to the truth. If you're into trenders and pretty boys this is the place for you, I prefer the Woodshed and Eagle in Charlotte myself.

  • THERE WILL BE A LARGE CROWD OF TRANSGENDER WOMEN AT THE ODDSEY ON FEBRUARY THE 16 AT THE ODDESY! WE HAVE A CLUB THAT MEETS AT DIFFERENT BARS A COUPLE TIMES A MONTH
