A post on craigs list is warning of an undercover sting at the adult book stores in Wichita. Be careful.

Went yesterday and the theater was dead. I was the only one there for an hour. Talk about lame. I guess the Wichita PD has done their job and slowed this place down some.

Once it warms up, the crime will pick up and they will have other things to do. But they will bust those at Chisholm Trail Park a few times when it first gets warm to send a message. Just be safe and don't walk into a booth and grab someone's pants.

I dont really think much of the "Store management cooperated with the police" , what are they supposed to do? If they do anything else they could be charged themselves with "impeding an investigation". It is scary and most people in Wichita think the police could be doing alot of other things to protect the community, but if you are going to go there be careful. With spring coming I am sure there will be many more around everywhere.

I think it is time to boycott vegas video. If we stop going there, perhaps we can send a message

There are some common sense practices that could help all of us enjoy these places more. For example, one police method is to have an undercover officer inside the theater text officers outside to come in and do a bust.

So....please send text messages from the theaters only if you have a real reason to do so. Don't just sit in your seat and play on your phone. It sends up a red flag to those of us who don't know you, but do know this could signal a bust. Dates and I have left the theaters prematurely more than once when things were just getting friendly and some third party whipped out his phone and started texting. It was probably innocent, but we don't know that.

Also, don't come and go from a theater or arcade like a person with no attention span; everytime you come back and cause the door to buzz or chime, it disrupts the flow of things in the theater. If you need candy or pop, bring it in in the first place.

Also, remember that the door buzzers are not reliable. In the case of the Vegas arcade, I personaly saw one case of the buzzer NOT going off and two officers coming in to bust a couple of guys.

So, remember that we need to hear footsteps and see shadows of approaching people who cannot see us yet. Therefore, don't crowd around people who are doing something to the degree that you mess with their ability to hear and see what's going on around them; spend a little of that time being a lookout.

I know it makes having fun in the ABS places sound like an exercise in caution bordering on paranoia - too much for me, perhaps - but until you overhear guys who are being busted beg with the officers with desperate panic in their voices and tell them how they'll lose their jobs and parental rights if they're arrested, you don't understand how frightening and life-changing this can be.

I'm not saying not to enjoy yourselves, I'm just suggesting that as the adult theater subculture - gay, strait, bi, with a girl, with a guy or solo - we need to be more aware of our surroundings and our mutual risks. We need to look out for each other.

Today is 12-23-08, and the earliest posting that shows in the list is from the first week of this year. My experience with the police busting in my booth where I was with a guy does not show up. I posted it in the fall of '07 right after the bust. My message to people here who think this place is cool is "No Way". The staff assist the police in busting you and don't give you any warning when you come in about the rules or the police raids. I'm not going back. Most guys who get busted don't fight it or even tell people. My post was about my experience and how the manager was a prick when I called to tell him he is wrecking people. Best advice is get out of Wichita; it's a little police state where your fellow gays let this happen!

Went there on Sunday and it was a dive. All old guys and they would not leve me alone. Kinda disapointed.

Plasticsink, nothing in Wichita is "safe" from the police, but at any given moment, any one place is "relatively" safe. It's a matter of playing the odds and being very aware of your surroundings and the people in them. I suggest you read all the comments for this listing and make an informed decision.

is it safe like on sat night in the theater safe from cops?

This place is a hit and miss. The theater does not have the best picture but is large with plenty of room.
There is a new manager that is making some good improvements.

went here tonight, boring, boring, boring.

My wife and I were a bit late last Thursday- not arriving until about 2:15 or so. There were several cars in the parking lot, and we were both really excited about this opportunity. Wife was dressed really hot...she was wearing a pink mini-skirt (no panties) and a white (see through) blouse- no bra. We went in and saw a few guys walking around. This was my wifes first time to do anything like this, and she was excited- but pretty nervous. We decided to hit the arcade area as a "warm up". We walekd around trying to find an "isolated" area. There were a few guys around, and obviously interested in her- but nobody approached us, or was pushy. We went into a video booth- I'm not sure if all of them are like the one we were in, but this one didn't have a lock or latch. She sat down and I put in a few dollars in the machine and we started watching a video.

I was there tonight. Had some fun, but it is scary. Never knowing when a cop might show up. You never know who is or is not a cop. To scary to really have any fun.

Are there any TGirls or cpls going to make a trip out to Vegas tonight or tomorrow? I would really like to have some fun. I like going into the booth areas so let me know.

Dave, no it is pretty dark in there. You have to walk along a hallway to get to the seats which just means it gives you recovery time when you hear the door buzzer. The chairs can be moved around but are arranged in rows. Behind the chairs is a half wall and that is where most of the playing happens, behind the half wall. When I go in there is takes me quiet some time for my eyes to adjust where I can even make out someone standing behind that half wall or sitting in the last row.

Can anyone fill me in on the theater section of this place? There was a sign on the theater door that said something like "leave the light switch alone- it is on for your safety".

Is it too light in there to play? If I take my wife to this place, it needs to be pretty dark for her to feel comfortable enough to play.

What kind of seats do they have in the theater? How is it arranged?

I should be there around noon or so looking for a few guys to pound my hole and leave a load. Will probably hit Circle Cinema and Adult Superstore on South Broadway too......
