Whippendell Woods, Grove Mill Lane carpark, back of the Grove estate, between Watford and Kings Langley. Park facing into carpark. As you enter the woods don't take the main paths ahead or to the right but turn left and follow the small path up the side of the golf course.

Take A411 Hempstead Road from Hunton Bridge roundabout (J19 M25) towards Watford and take first right (Grove Mill Lane) follow road for about 1/2 mile until you get to carpark/picnic area for Whippendell Woods on the left.
