In 1983, Apex first opened for business with the name "Badlands" - a name which enjoyed years of status as one of the country's best gay nightlife destinations. As we celebrated twenty years of service and revealed a dramatic club makeover, the name was changed to... Apex. Always GAY OWNED & OPERATED, we have proudly served the District's GBLT community for over 25 years! Today, Apex is still DC's most reliable hotspot for gay nightlife. Two levels and seven full service bars create a network of well-defined spaces to suit the diverse elements of our community's nightlife needs.
