Babbacombe Downs
Can be brilliant -- there are loads of places to disappear into and plenty of areas for 121 and groups. Catch it right and the place is heaving with guys doing just about everything. Catch it at the wrong time and all you've got for company is a 70 year old with a dog and permanent sniffle, plus a drunk trying to sleep it off in the shelter at the top.
Crowd: All types. Sometimes there's a lot of older and very old guys, but usually a fair amount in the 20 - 40 age group.

From strand, travel up to Babbacombe. Turn right onto downs -- cruising area is around the cottage and at the back of the theatre. Also further down along the track. On a fine night there are often lots of lads hanging out amongst the bushes.

Dates open: Mainly after dark. - Cruising Info/ Tips:Just wander around and do what comes naturally. It's usually very dark, so be careful you ain't caught up with a wrinkly in baseball cap and sweatshirt!
Cruisiest Spots: The whole area is very cruisy, but especially at the top of the steps, behind the theatre. When it's dry, tons of action further down the paths. There's a cottage close to the shelter at the top, but this is closed at night and is visited by attendants occasionally. The shelter can be good later on, but it is too close to main public areas to be really safe. There can be lots of action in there though. - Nudity / Policy:Yes / Sometimes, esp. if it's a hot night and late (after midnight)

- Warnings:One or two of the older guys really don't know when to take a hint. You have to be quite deliberate and tell them if they are not wanted.
Warnings: Every so often, the area is policed and arrests are made. Watch out, especially during the week around the top by the theatre.
