Update on directions: Park your car at the end of Leslie St (and Unwin). Take your bike through the gate and follow the road towards the end of the spit. You will pass through a gate used during the week for trucks. Keep on going. You will pass over a floating bridge. If the bridge is open, then go back and take your first right through a gate that is closed (but has a path-around for bikes). There is a storage shed near this gate. Follow this road around the manmade pond.
Crowd: As it is accessible only by bikes/blades, there are some really buffed guys there.

it's a sensitive bird area probably because there are ground nesting birds nesting there who will probably be stressed by all the bush whackers trudging through their home.

go out along the spit and keep right at the fork in the road where it splits to go around the lagoons - cross the red pontoon bridge across the inlet to lagoon #3 - keep going another couple hundred yards till you see a portable washroom cubicle on your right.. Take a right down the grey gravel path and follow it all the way to the beach. Action is toward the end of beach (to your left when you reach the water) Have fun!

Was there on friday - they have put a barrier across the path down to the beach (but it was easy to get round it) something about it being a sensitive bird area. It may mean they intend to patrol this year and keep people off the beach - there were certainly no guys around when I was there! - Just a warning to be careful if you go there - its a long way to get to it if your not prepared to break the rules!

Is the little secluded beach still active? It is THE best spot in TO for outdoor frolics! Gotta do a little work to get there but it's a beautiful little spot!
