Take Dover Road out of South Toms River following signs to Bamber Lake. Go straight at the traffic light where Route 530 turns toward Whiting. 1.3 miles from the light is a walk in entrance and 1.5 miles is a drive in entrance.
Cross street: Dover Road
  • Hours:Open only during daylight hours.
    Best times: Seems to be around lunch hour or after work.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:End of the dirt road which is not far from the entrance.

  • Anyone see the guy in the green pick up with the large tires lately. He gets there after 2:00. If you see him, tell him his Daddy in the black Suv would like to meet him at the Hut. This burly verbal son will know who you are referring to. This boy knows how to take care of his Daddies.

  • I will be there at the Forge on Sunday in the late afternoon. I may also be there on Monday. I avoid the white dented van. You may well be advised to do the same.

  • i was there friday around 4pm ,, we all know white van was there but so was another car , i parked away from them ( give them some room ) and the guy from the other car walked down the trail to me , talked to me a while seemed like he wanted some fun ,i gave him a ton of clues but he dident bite , grabed myself ,asked if he was looking for action , talked about this being a cruising spot ,oh well maybe he was really looking for deer ??? anyway once he walked away , i stood behind my van ( not the creepy white van guy) droped my pants and serviced myself , (sad)

    I was there yesterday afternoon and had some luck on the trails. It is a hit or miss place. The white van was there. I am heading there again next Monday around 2/3.

    I arrived about three on Tuesday. We missed each other.

    As to the white van, stay away from the fookin guy. The other cruisers say he is in contact with the rangers.

  • Nothing going on there yesterday. Was there twice, once at 10amish and again at 6pmish. Just a shady white van with tinted windows in the am and a black BMW in the afternoon and no one there. Walked around a bit but no sign of anyone. Oh well, maybe another time.

  • so really, how is this place. i have been there a few times, once there was NO ONE and the other time there was some older dude just walking around by the water. i went down one of the trails and he didn't follow. i'm not trying to be conceited but i usually get followed down the trails, or around the corner into the buddy booth or where ever. so when is it good there? maybe i'll head over there tomorrow morn, around 10ish??
