Desert park with a lagoon surrounding an island. Walk around the lake and check out the men! Careful not to disturb the folks fishing. Occasional straight couples after dark, but rarely. Have seen cops once in a great while. Great in the ravines. 12/17/04 A cruiser reports: This park is ajacent to a regional water treatment facility. The
city of Tempe has installed 24 hour surveillance cameras in the parking lot.
Plus, due to Sept 11th type threats they have erected a guard house with
gated entry. This is no longer a private place to play.
Crowd: All sorts: married guys, young men, leathermen, bears, Latino hunks, black guys, couples.

From Scottsdale, take Scottsdale Road south to McKellips Rd.
Make a right onto McKellips, the 3rd street is College Ave. Make a left onto
College, then make the 1st right hand turn onto E. Campo Allegre
  • Crowd:All sorts: married guys, young men, leathermen, bears, Latino hunks, black guys, couples.
  • Hours:6 am-10 pm
    Best times: after dark
    Dates open: 6 am-10 pm
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Guys on the island for quickies, out in the ravines and under the ramadas aftter dark for longer encounters.
    Cruisiest Spots: On near the bridge to the island by the main parking lot.
  • Nudity / Policy:Have seen it, but pretty risky!
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:The bathrooms are almost always locked. The city trimmed up the trees and brush on the island to try and keep us away -- ha!

  • 2/1/2001 - Mounted police patrol, bike police patrol, patrol cars, plain cloths.... constant police presense... appears to be increasing by the day. Citizan patrols with cell phones. I consider it very dangerous... and getting worse. Will not go back!
