This place used to be OK, but anymore it's a hang out for a much OLDER crowd...I mean the average age is probably 70. That's what happens when private people run it. You get less and pay more.

I don't think the situation has improved any, pelt. Better to go to Keough or Deep Creek.

Winter hours are now in effect and are more lengthy so there is ample time to get there and soak! Was there last week and they have upgraded the surrounding facilities. But still the same great private soak and fun!

pools are no longer open 24hrs and no longer free, the county of Inyo has leased the pools out to Calif Land Management who have quite rapidly screwed up everything. there is a boycott of the pools at this time to let them know what has been free for 75 years should still be free and we don't need big brother looking over our sholder.

Days are as good as nights. Always get action. As recent as this Friday morn too. You'll just have to go and enjoy the soak. The fee is dirt compared to the fun you'll have.

Entry fee? That's new. Who do you pay? The last time I was there, the pools were open 24/7 and no attendent anywhere. Has that changed also?

The government's agency that ran it has turned it over to a private company to run, hence the new fee. I have not been by that way since the change.
