cruiser adds 11/12/2008: Blagdon Hill Woods is no longer a possible cruising site, the local council have seen to that. The new car park that is mentioned has been created and the title should be 'Staple Hill Picnic Site', that is where all the comments are now refering to The original directions were correct for Bl. Hill Woods but do not apply for the new site. Several of the recent postings have given the correct directions i.e..... turn LEFT at the cross-roads and it's the second turn-in on the left in about a mile along the Chard road going towards the Eagle Tavern. Can also be aproached from the A 303. Eagle Tavern turn towards Taunton/ Wellington. Ignore Taunton right turn, keep going another mile and it's on the right. I hope this will get more guys up there and cruising, this is a great spot

cruiser update: The car park entrance has been blocked for 12 months. There are no toilets so no . There is still room for one or two cars to park up by the roadside.--This will probably develop into the busiest spot in the Tanton area over the next couple of years.

Take the 3170 south out of Taunton. Pass through Corfe and go to the top of the long hill. There is a cross roads at the top with a sign pointing right to Wellington. turn LEFT at the cross-roads and it's the second turn-in on the left in about a mile along the Chard road going towards the Eagle Tavern. Can also be aproached from the A 303. Eagle Tavern turn towards Taunton/ Wellington. Ignore Taunton right turn, keep going another mile and it's on the right. I hope this will get more guys up there and cruising, this is a great spot.
