there have been know bust at the rainbow it is a private mens club it is not under surveilance it is a safe and friendly place to hang out and enjoy yourself bring any of your concerns to managment and they will sure do what they can to please us. they also just had a aniversary and there are alot of new members so stop by and see bendover

According to the a Post about the Playhouse Theater: 'This place is under constant surveilance along with the undercover work going on inside the rainbow bathhouse next door.' I wanted to know if anyone knew it this was true. Please advise.

Does anyone know why there was a police helicopter and like 10 squad cars around this place Xmas Eve?? It looked crazy and something was definitely going down.

Nobody ever said anything about them being sold or shutting down. However, who is going to want to build and purchase homes (especially in this economy) three blocks from a red-light district. Point was - look for crackdowns to increase.

December 4, 2008

DREW PARK - The city council unanimously approved on Thursday spending more than $400,000 to purchase two adjoining parcels in Drew Park that could be used to build homes.

The city plans to buy the parcels at 4106 and 4108 N. Hubert Ave. at a cost of $402,800. The money to purchase the properties will come from the Drew Park Community Redevelopment Area fund.."

The address of the Rainbow is 4421 Hubert Ave., which is three blocks north of the proposed purchase site.

Perhaps another reason the Health Department should consider shutting this place down.

I wish someone could help to shine some light on this situation. It appears that I am getting information from two different angles. I talked to a guy on a4a and he said the heard it from a TPD Vice officer; however when I do a search on google and all of the Local news websites I see nothing on Rainbow Cabaret. Playhouse, Buddies, Fantasyland all come up but not RC.

I also Talked to the guys at RC, they said that the cops did come in but that was for 30 seconds cause they thought it was a bar. And I talked to the owner of another local unnamed video store he said it was the theater too.

I just would like to konw for sure so I dont have to have some one come and pick up from Orient Road.

Whoa! Doom & Gloom! Geesh! Rainbow is FINE! Well lit parking lot that is monitored. The friendly staff people say that no one can come in (cops) because it is a private club. Safe guys! Don't freak out! The book stores are the places being screwed up by the cops. Crazy. See you all there next time.
