Is This Your Business?

Tunks Park is a very pleasant reserve sandwiched between the lower North Shore suburbs of Northbridge and Cammeray. While the sun is up, the park itself can get busy with sporting teams and people walking their dogs. However, once the sun goes down the men are really there for one thing only.
Crowd: married guys, younger sporty types, older guys.

Neighbourhood: Cammeray

Who's Coming

married guys, younger sporty types, older guys.

Turn off in either Cammeray (take 'The Boulevarde') of Northbridge (Upper Cliff Ave) before the grand old stone bridge and follow the road down the hill to the car park. The park itself is directly under the old stone bridge.

  • Directions:Turn off in either Cammeray (take 'The Boulevarde') of Northbridge (Upper Cliff Ave) before the grand old stone bridge and follow the road down the hill to the car park. The park itself is directly under the old stone bridge.
  • Hours:The best/safest times are at sunset and after dark when there are no more kids, sporting teams or dog walkers. All the guys loitering around after dark are there for one thing...
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:There's a car park on Brother's Avenue that can be pretty private at night and yet gives you a good view of all cars coming in. At night, this is the cruisiest area for men sitting alone in their cars. Most of the action then happens in the cars.

There's also public toilets in the park that are generally overtaken on weekends by young sporting teams but are free at other times.

There's plenty of bushland to have fun in if you meet a guy in the park itself. There's also a big walking track that leads up to Munro Park and Willoughby Leisure Centre's Flat Rock Gully park which is itself a cruising area. Along the track there are often joggers who sneak into the bushes for fun...
  • Nudity / Policy:Not wise to flaunt it too much in the park itself, but in the bushes that are off the trails you shouldn't have too much trouble.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Park itself is flat and very accessible to all needs but you have to descend a steep road to get down to it.
  • Warnings:Can be crowded on weekends and is thus only an after dark destination. Rangers are rare (especially after dark) but look out for other park users.
