This is a large and secluded cruising area off the beaten track. Due to its proximity to the Causey Arch and Beamish Burn Cruising areas it is always busy as guys drive round from one to another. It is probably difficult to access without a vehicle. The parking area leads onto a very large woodland (deciduous and pine) area with marked walks. It is popular with couples, bird watchers and dog walkers. It is easy enough to get away from the well traveled parts for some privacy

- Hours:There is plenty of room for about 10 cars in the car park and most time I have been I have seen at least 4. (Not all guys cruising I should add!). I have only been there during the afternoons but I have never failed to connect in the carpark itself. It appears that most guys make eye contact, show the signs etc and go for a 'tramp in the woods'!
I believe it is also used by doggers as well during the darker evenings,(As is Causey Arch)
- Cruising Info/ Tips:I found that sitting in ones vehicle in the car park and making eye contact with the guys in other cars works for me every time. A lowered window, stroking the steering wheel, door open with legs out, discreet hand movements all worked for me. A stroll over to the other guy for a look and a word followed by a casual stroll will generally get some action.
- Nudity / Policy:Probably, but I haven't encountered it
- Wheelchair Accessible:No / It is wheelchair friendly
- Warnings:I have seen no police or countryside wardens during my several visits. It is well used by hikers, nature lovers and dog walkers so discretion is needed, but it is a big area and it is easy to find solitude.
