Is This Your Business?

A very active area. I only visit occasionally but I have never been without there being at least a couple of cars in the car park. One guy actually came in with a lady in the car with him, went across the bridge whilst she sat reading in the car and came back 10 minutes later having scored with a pal of mine!
Crowd: All kinds. I have seen vans, very upmarket cars and old bangers. A very attractive TV got out of a lovely sports car on one visit.

Follow all signs to Beamish Museum. At the museum entrance turn left(signposted Beamish Golf Club) and follow the road past the farm and the golf club. Carry on down the hill, over the bridge to the corner. Keep following the road past the high stone wall and you will see a sign indicating the picnic area just past the end of the wall. Turn left, and follow the track for 50 yards and you are there.

  • Hours:All day after lunchtimes. It never closes.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Either make contact in the car park. (many guys stand about talking) or follow someone into the woods. You can just sit in your car and make it obvious that you are not holding a sausage roll!
Cruisiest Spots: Over the footbridge at the end of the car park. There are extensive woodlands running all the way to another car park at the top of the hill. There are a number of well defined paths with lots of cover.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:This is a picnic area near Beamish Museum and so does get the odd dog walker and famly group so be discreet.
