This adult bookstore has 5 video rooms and an adult theater with two sections (1 gay, 1 str8). I've read on other sites that Shreveport police are interested in this place, but on my 2 visits during a recent business trip, I didn't encounter any problems.
Neighbourhood: Shreveport-downtown
From I-20, take the Market Street exit. Go 4 to 6 miles (traveling away from the CBD/downtown) past Hearn Avenue. Turn right at the light onto Nelson Street (Texaco on the corner) and Capri is on the immediate left. This theater is very close to downtown, just south of the I-22 freeway.
- Hours:Store hours are 10am - midnight. I went at 11pm and the clerk let me stay after the place closed. He joined me in the theater and we and for another 2 hours. The weeknight I went, there were only 4 other guys and they cleared out by midnight. When the clerk was closing up, I just asked if I could stay a bit longer and he said yes. Then he came in the theater and sat next to me, watching me stroke and then joined in.
- Cruising Info/ Tips:In the theater, stand to the rear of either theater and stroke your through your pants. If you see others with s visible, then it's probably cool to be more free. I've seen guys here on both occasions I visited. On my first visit, I had a group j/o with 5 other guys.
- Nudity / Policy: is technically not permitted, but this is an adult theater.
- Wheelchair Accessible:No / No information. I assume the store is accessible to the physically challenged, but I didn't notice ramps. Sorry.
- Warnings:I've read on other sites that the police have been interested in this location, especially in February 2009. I visited in late January 2009 on two separate nights and didn't see anything or feel threatened in anyway.

However, in the summer of 2007, a doctor friend of mine and his wife were arrested, a long with several other men at the Capri. The Texarkana Gazzette ran the arrest of my doctor friend and his wife(with pictures) on the front page of the Texarkana Gazette. They were charged with a felony, facing 5 years in prison. This info was all in the article about their arrrest. They struck a plea deal and agreed to 6 months counseling and a fine(a can't remember the amount of fine). Needless to say, I have not been back since their arrest.
Also, the black news reporter who used to work for Channel 3 in Shreveport was arrested at the Capri. His dismissal from Channel 3 was reported on air after his arrest. I've also talked to several people in the Texarkana area who used to or currently frequent the theater. They have told me that several of their friends, or they knew of people who had been arrested while at the Capri. To say the least, this is a dangerous place to be cruising.

There has often been this kind of speculation. There were a couple of employees at one time, that i wouldn't have doubted would contact the police, but not the current ones. The owner(Jerry) is a very nice man. I've never heard anything like that out of him. Now, I only go in there maybe once to twice a month, so I cant say this has never happened. I do know this. There are men that go into this place, and dont have sense enough to look around and see what's going on before they leap into things. There are also those who are too stupid to take no for an answer. They cause their own problems. I have been patronizing this place for 10 years and have never had a problem. But I do know there have been stings. You have to be careful. Shreveport is in the middle of the bible belt, and they have nothing better to do than harrass consenting adults. It seems that they consider us a larger threat than all of the drugs, gangs, rapists and such in the area. So, instead of calling each other names and being nasty, if you want to go to the Capri, ALWAYS pay attentiong and be careful

Have only been there 5-6 times in a couple of years.last time was March of 08. Had been there about 2 hours,was busy for a while,then everybody left except 2 other guys. I sat on the back row&2 new white guys came in separately...and cruised from side to side. I had my hand down my pants,sitting alone on the back row...when both guys approched and atrrested me. they took the other man sitting on the same row...at the opposite end. Once outside they let the guy go&arrested me...the charge was Obsenity-a FELONY CHARGE! I was put into MAXIMUM SECURITY PRISON...and there for 48 hours. It cost me $5,ooo.oo .
No matter what you think.....this place is DANGEROUS!!
