Heatherdene Car Park - Ladybower-Bamford
A6013 - Ashopton Road
Parking area and toilets beside Ladybower Reservoir in the Peak District just over the border into Derbyshire. Very close to the A57 Snake Pass. NOT suitable for large trucks but vans and motorhomes are okay.

Approx 10 miles west of Sheffield via the A57 (Snake Pass). At the Ladybower traffic lights turn left onto A6013 (Ashopton Road) towards Bamford. Less than half a mile on the left is the Heatherdene parking area which is clearly signposted. If coming from Bamford on the A6013 Heatherdene is on the right after 1.5 miles.

- Hours:In good weather and at weekends the place is popular with walkers and tourists etc so probably best avoided as there are just too many people about. Weekday early mornings and just before dusk have proved fruitful though ;) Toilets automatically lock at 16.30 in winter - later in the Summer months. Seems reasonably favored by guys on their way to/from work.
- Cruising Info/ Tips:From the upper parking area you have a good view of whoever may be coming and going to the toilets. Three cubicles and half a dozen urinals. There is currently (December '08) a gloryhole and a peephole between the furthest two cubicles from the door. If you are inside when the doors lock at dusk and happen to have some good company you are very safe as no-one can disturb you - but don't worry you CAN get out!
- Nudity / Policy:From the upper part of the car park there is easy access to the woods where nudity should be okay so long as you are sensible.
- Wheelchair Accessible:No / Accessible by wheelchair - gentle incline from disabled parking section.
- Warnings:Be sensible! This is a popular spot so don't offend anyone - choose your times well though and you can get great action.
