Red Rock Crossing is a state park usually has great water running and a fun place to swim. There is an $8.00 parking fee however is well worth the cost vending machines, clean bathrooms, paved parking.
Neighbourhood: West Sedona
Take 89A West heading towards Cottonwood. Watch for the signs directing you to Red Rock Crossing. Watch for the Sedona High School on your left. Turn Left and follow the signs directing you to Red Rock Crossing. Try and park in the very last lot, it's better access to the trail. Also easier to change your clothes. Have seen a few naked butts
- Hours:Best time to go is a couple of hours before sunset. This is a very popular area for families that usually stay fairly close to the parking area. And they usually start leaving a couple of hours prior to sunset.
- Cruising Info/ Tips:Leaving the parking area follow the well marked trail to the left and continue to follow this trail, you will probably see a number of families in the water. Just keep following the trail back approx 15 - 20 minutes there are a couple of really great swimming holes. Lots of tree cover, plenty of areas to get naked. I swim naked here and have for years without a problem. If you see a naked man he's probably looking for you.
- Nudity / Policy:Nudity is not allowed however have never had a problem or even seen a ranger back on any trials
- Wheelchair Accessible:No / No. is an easy walking trail however
- Warnings:This is a popular family swimming area however if you hike back far enough you will have plenty of privacy. Just be cool and don't approach anyone. If you see a guy or guys swimming naked or hanging out in the trees nude. You'll know what to do.
