Witness Cafe

I spent a lot of time here when visiting during April of this year. Nothing fancy for sure, but not what I would qualify as a dive. Bartenders are great, drag shows are a good way to kill some time. Met a lot of new people, hooked up a few times. It's fun if you make it that way.

I went to this bar for the first time last night (Saturday December 15, 2007). Never been here before thanks to some of the comments made here about how boring it is. Well I was SHOCKED.. This place is much more of a magnet for a younger crowd than I thought. I am 38 years old and most of the crowd was younger than I am with some older but not that many and there were perhaps 200 people here for 5 hours I was here during the night from 10-3am (It closed at 2am but I was there while a friendly bartender was celebrating his b-day and I was allowed to stay while they closed up the bar). It was really fun, the music was good and since it has not been less than 4 years since I went to a bar and out on the town the prices were alot cheaper than I expected (Foreign Beer $4 and mixed drinks $6.25 overall) I would highly recommed people go here and see what it has to offer as I was impressed with the opportunity for fun this place offers compared to local places in the past that are now closed.

This place has been bought by Ringling school of art and Design and has been closed for close to a year now...no need to try and go here it is CLOSED!

I have been here a few times but only during the day and it doesn't seem very happening. What is this place like at night? Does anyone want to meet here in the afternoon?
