This is a beautiful place in Sarasota that years ago was the 'nude' beach in the Sarasota area before recent laws were passed (or actually had laws enforced there). It is close to the world-reknown shopping of St. Armands Circle and attracts lots of worldwide, tourists and travellers.
Crowd: All types of people go here: older crowd during the days/summer and a younger crowd in the evening and during college spring break and vacations that attract the youth to Florida.

Tamiami Trail (US 41) to John & Mable Ringling Causeway. Turn right (west), go over drawbridge, to St. Armands Circle. Turn right at second street, go 2 blocks to Lido beach. Park in the small lot or on the street (both are free)Sarasota/St. Armands Key. North end of the Public beach, once one gets to the beach head north along a walking path until you reach the bushes/woods at the north end of the beach.
  • Crowd:All types of people go here: older crowd during the days/summer and a younger crowd in the evening and during college spring break and vacations that attract the youth to Florida.
  • Hours:Around sundown/evening times (6:30pm-8pm).
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Look for all the single men walking alone in the woods, that is a good giveaway that they are looking for action.
    Cruisiest Spots: The very north end of this beach in the 'woods'
  • Nudity / Policy:Yes / Officially
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Parties of queens/ happen in the summer and they attract attention to those just trying to be left alone.
    Warnings: This is an area that used to be totally left alone by the police, but in the last 2 years there were actually 3 arrests for 'lewdness in public' and 'public nudity'(even though only those going out of their way would be effected by this).

  • Spending some time in the area and can't wait to hit this beach up again. I went here a few years back on vacation. It was great.
