Summerland Beach-Padaro Beach

excellent swimming. Loon Point beach. (Summerland Beach?) Padaro Lane exit off 101 Freeway in Summerland. Walk down to beach from parking lot. Area south of rocks is mostly gay. Take the Summerland/Padaro Lane exit, hike down the bluff trail from Loon Point parking lot. Seems like maybe back in the past it was nude. But these days you see straight couples going for a stroll with their dog. The land up away from the beach looks like it's being prepared to develop houses. The beach is usually buzzing with hot guys from mid afternoon till late. Take the Summerland/Padaro Lane exit. From the parking lot take the trail down to the sea. Loon Point (Padaro Lane in Summerland just north of Carpinteria off the 101 Freeway) used to be good, but it had died down quite a bit. cops/sheriffs have been known to spy from the hilltops and then come down and give tickets to anyone naked. just South of Summerland. exit at Padero Ln. turn left over the freeway and then left into parking lot. Once you park, follow the trail along the railroad tracks to another path that leads down to the beach. I found only a couple of people hanging out in the parking lot. The beach only had a few people running with their dogs and no action at all. The bush area referred to in an earlier post is at the top of the dirt trail that leads down to the beach. You can see a path has been worn but the brush offers little cover and their is a lot of stickers and cacti. Watch where you let your hang.
