San Jose's oldest continuously operating Gay Watering Hole at its 'new' location on Taylor at Coleman, halfway between Downtown and the Airport. This is a classic dark bar environment with a pool table, pin ball machine, and an outdoor fenced patio. There are several flat panel TV's, which are tuned to sit-coms, sports, news, , or whatever patrons request. Similarly, the sound system puts out everything from techno to country to rock, etc. Special themed parties are held monthly. While there is no , management's policy is, "What we don't see, we don't see," so be respectful of the crowd and surroundings, and have fun.

Neighbourhood: Rose Garden

From I-880: Exit at Coleman and head south-east towards Downtown. First light is Hedding, Second is Taylor - Renegades will be on the corner on your right.
From Downtown: Get on Market heading north-west towards San Jose International Airport. Market will become Coleman, continue out past Target and PetSmart, and make the left at Taylor- Renegades will be on the far side of the intersection on your right as you complete your turn.
  • Hours:Renegades is open Noon to 2am, seven (7) days a week. Call ahead for Holiday schedules.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Tremendous range of characters frequent here - blend of races, ethnicities, economic levels. Too eclectic to categorize easily.
  • Nudity / Policy:'What management doesn't see: they don't see.' Use your discretion, and don't be a nuisance to the other patrons either. Personally, I have given BlowJobs on the patio on a slow night, (The bar, not me.)
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Yes, the floor is at the same height as the parking lot, and the doors are wide enough for a wheelchair. I'm not sure about the restroom, though.
  • Warnings:Renegades is isolated in a semi-industrial/commercial neighborhood away from the noise and congestion of Downtown. If you don't like it, you will have to go elsewhere to find another spot.
