cruiser update 4/17/2009: The admission price is now just $5.00 Monday through Friday, which has brought hungry to the back row during the workweek once again. are lube are on sale at the box office, so is also an option. Although the movies are straight, they feature rugged he-men and not the hairless Slovak twinks you see at the gay venues -- which is another reason to keep this place open
Update 4/24/2008: The theater is under new ownership and appears to be struggling to stay in business. People do get naked inside the auditorium. Management doesn't seem to mind as long as no one is harassed. Smoking is prohibited. The back and front rows tend to be the cruisiest.
Crowd: VERY diverse downtown crowd, all ages and races, every type, some down and out types.

  • The biggest waste of $10 I've ever busy. I bought the all day pass because I wanted to check this place out, then go to the Castro and head back to see how it was. It was dead both times. The only one halfway attractive was the guy behind the register. If you're into guys between 55 and 70, then this is your place. Otherwise, I wouldn't waste my time, plus the neighborhood is littered with homeless and druggies.

  • As cruiser says above - this bears repeating, just in case you guys don't read the top part - entry is now $5 every day Monday through Friday. It is $8 on Saturday and Sunday.

  • I came by here last week in the morning, and this past Monday afternoon at 3pm and they were closed. If they are still open for business, they're not keeping regular hours. Anyone have anymore info?

  • The Dollhouse is still open for business. They tend to close a lot earlier than they used to, but they haven't closed for good yet.

  • There was a power failure along the whole block on Thursday, 18 September. That's why the Dollhouse closed early and didn't re-open all night. It was open again on Friday and is just as sleazy as ever. Even the staff joins in the cocksucking fun from time to time.

  • I went there today in anticipation of their weekly admission for $5 on Thursday. I found the gate and doors closed. There was no sign indicating being out of business, but I have never seen the place closed at 1:00 in the afternoon. I hope it is temporary.
