Also known as Nasty Boy Beach
It's a modern day Sodom & Gommorah. Good beach all year round if sunny. Rock 'condos' keep out the cool breezes off the ocean, great view of incoming ships and sea lions while you . Can be up to 300 people on peak days.
Crowd: Everything from Castro boys on sunny weekends, to hippie and German tourists other days, some married guys after work.

It's just a beach - no lockers or concession stand - sorry, nothing. Bring a backpack and wear layers - fog could roll in and you'd be freezing your tush off by the end of the day. Remember what Mark Twain said - "the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco".

Is this the same beach as Marshall's beach? We were there today and enjoyed it. Lots of activity. Its easier to find than we thought it would be and parking was easy (maybe we were lucky). For those with GPS, we parked at N37.80172 W122.47726 which is a small free parking area near the trail down.

just went to baker beach sign even said so and well there were all those old cannon ruins there with fencing around it. um no map shows gg beach. from ggb west it's baker beach into the gg nat'l rec areaaround 25th and sea cliff that goes into lincolin park. so is this east or west and is the "local" name gg beach since no map has that beach listed?
