This area is a huge area to cruise (and only one of many in the park). There are trails all over the place. You can cruise from your car or walk the paths. Mostly guys into BJ, but I have seen and done more. If you want bathroom , try the bathroom

    Cruisiest Spots: Up and down the paths where the south windmill sits. Also, up the street from that same windmill. You'll see all the cars parked (until 10 pm-no parking).

  • Warnings:Park rangers patrol during the day, but you can hear them coming from a mile away. They are on motorbikes. (Editor: not all; some have cars.)
    Warnings: cruiser adds 11/24/2008: Mounted police on horses patrol the area daily, too. They can - and do - cite people for not being on an "official" path.

    Be careful after midnight! If it seems dead, leave. 100% safe until 10 pm. Also, don't leave your car inside the park after 10 pm. You WILL get a citation! (Editor: midnight's a bit too late for moi. Plus about five years ago a guy was murdered here;

  • What's the easiest way to get there from donwtown? I'm in town for a week and staying on Market, and I'm on foot. Transit stops and entrances would help me out

  • Warning: park rangers are keeping a more active eye than ever in this area, due to a middle-aged Asian man who posts his exact whereabouts here on Craigslist. The police were obviously tipped off, and I saw 2 guys get handcuffed here yesterday around 1PM. The windmills have been cruisy for over 50 years because of discretion, but it won't be much longer if you don't keep your mouth shut and blab about it on Craigslist. The best times to go now are late afternoon until around 10PM. After that, and the pushy older trolls start to get desperate and refuse to take "NO" for an answer. Be safe!

  • great place, had a blast there yesterday, love to get bread out doors. some guys need to be more agressive. I dont mind being on one guy and having another take advantage of me at the same time.

  • it's the other windmill longjack, the one under construction near lincoln way and laplaya, always busy and hot, after 8 pm is the best.

  • By the windmills pretty slow...better up the block toward Bernice Rogers (sp?) Street on other side of soccer field. Also can be action across next block up to the east.
