Grape Street Park

WARNING--- Sunday 5/18 11:00 PM a M/F couple was robbed at gunpoint in here by two Latino males. The victims wallets were found closeby, but all cash/valuables were taken.

My word! You're talking about the Grape Street Dog Park! I admit giving some of the other dog walkers the eye there, but cruising? Like to hook up and do it in the bathroom or the bushes? I've never seen that happen. Yes, the surrounding canyons do have some possibilities, but I don't think anything at all is going on down there. Is this wishful thinking? Or just a way to score a couple months of free Fan Club membership?

This place is like Marian Bear Park in Soledad Canyon. The cops look upon it as a shrine because two cops got killed here in the mid 80's. Practically everytime I've been in here--- just killing time - during the day or evening in my work truck I've noticed a PD car cruise through the parking lot. I've seen cops "shake" cruisers before they could even do anything just to keep them out of the park.

I think "coup...ex" was just commenting that this place is a waste of time. For a while every rookie cop got brought here by his training officer and shown what happened here. I lived about two blocks from here and saw the homeless attempt to take over this place but get chased out by the PD/Rangers. I think cruising would be pointless here. The one way in/out and small parking lot makes " blending in" very difficult.
