Canoe Nude Beach

From the Okanagan, head north toward Salmon Arm on Hwy 97, 97A, and finally 97B. At it's junction with the Trans-Canada (Hwy 1), turn east toward Canoe and Sicamous and set the odometer to zero. Stay on Hwy 1 and pass by Canoe, with entrances to it at 3.4, 4.7 and 5.5 km. Carry on past the Federated Co-op mill on the left, and office on the right at 6.0 km. At 8.5 km there's a small gravel turn out on the left which accesses Shuswap lake but is mainly used by textiles. Carry on to 8.9 km and park in the larger gravel turn out on the left. In the summer there are usually cars in each of turn outs.
There's a well travelled path down the hill, across the CPR mainline, to Shuswap Lake (about 50 or 60 metres). At the small rocky point at the end of the trail Nipple Point is about 300 metres to the right (east) and has a good stretch of pebbly beach, Small beaches also occur to the left of the trail, back toward Canoe. Nude use can be anywhere from just left of the trail for a 100 metres of so until larger trees thin out, or to the right past Nipple Point.
