Irlam Locks

Cycled through here a few times now. Plenty of guys "hanging" about on the lock area and parked up in their cars either side of the locks, some fit some not so.. each to their own I suppose!
The main lock area is only accessible to cyclists/peds however there is parking space either side of the locks (more so on the Manchester side)
Neighbourhood: Irlam
From Warrington Town Centre - keep following the A57 (Manchester Road) which eventually turns into Cadishead Way/Liverpool road. Go past the 2 railway bridges and look out for a largish roundabout signed "Irlam Locks" (right)From Manchester/Urmston side: Keep following Irlam Road and you will eventually hit the car park area.

- Hours:Seems to be mostly busy during the mid-late evening during the week.
- Cruising Info/ Tips:Only just discovered this place but there is plenty of wooded area next to the car park on the Manchester side! Also some of the lock buildings look derelict so perhaps there is a way in.
- Nudity / Policy:Just be sensible and discreet! =)
- Wheelchair Accessible:No / The entire area is pedestrianised so has good access for the less mobile.
- Warnings:As with any cruising area just keep your wits about you - the location of the area may make it popular with the local youf but having cycled through many a time I've never come across any trouble!
