The canal towpath is a couple of hundred miles long - from Buffalo to Albany. The section through Rochester, especially from Lock 32 park on Clover St. in Pittsford, to the parking area where Lyell Ave crosses the canal is very cruisy with plenty of spots in the woods to pull in and pull it out.
Neighbourhood: Canalside
Drive, walk, bike. Great parking/access at Clover St., Edgewood Ave., S. Clinton Ave., Genesee Valley Park., and Lyell Ave.

- Hours:Daytime is best. Especially mornings and early evening.
- Cruising Info/ Tips:Just take a walk. You will definitely run into guys looking for play. The most "easy" action is around Genesee Valley Park, but that is also the place where the cops come and set up sting ops. It is not worth it. take a walk across the river to the west side and suddenly the cops are gone.... There is also a lot of reliable action around the Lock 33 trails at Edgewood Ave., and at the Lyell Ave. parking access. But the best way to get some action is to post to the Msg boards here, or on one of the other sites to let the cruisers know where and when to look for you. This is a GREAT place to cruise and hook up. My favorite spots are Lock 33, the S. Clinton parking access and the west side of Genesee Valley Park toward Genesee Park Blvd.
- Nudity / Policy:Nudity not allowed. But there are some nice tucked away places where you can let it all hang out - especially between GVP and Brooks Ave.
- Wheelchair Accessible:No / It's all accessible. These are smooth, paved, bicycle and wheelchair friendly trails.
- Warnings:Too many guys cruising right in the center of Genesee Valley Park where the canal crosses the river. This attracts negative attention, and ultimately the cops.... take it a little ways east or west along the canal and nobody will notice or care.
