  • Deserving du-u-u-udes from the West Valley have a place to go that can provide dancing, pool, strippers, and a large bar/lounge area in a pleasant atmosphere. Drink prices are competitive, and it's worth checking their online calendar for events (www.bananasbar.com). This bar has really grown up over the years. It went through some redesign and redecorating from its early years and now has a sort of "West Hollywood Club" meets Southwest look -- which is OK, save for some of the West Hollywood attitude that waifish, clubby-types brought along on the night I was most recently there (certainly not the bar's fault!). That it's in Reseda is a blessing and a curse: it's convenient to all West Valley locales from Calabasas to Mission Hills, but...Reseda??? Yeah, well...Bananas is simply a rose among the thorns.
