To clarify, the photos associated are of the southbound vista point reststop on I280, just past Hwy 92 exit to Half Moon Bay. This location offers the best visibility of the interstate and the long access road up to the vista point (for easy warning to avoid unwelcome surprise approaches). For this reason, recommend parking facing the north towards the expressway (you can't see approach from the other side). There is a nearby trail just below the vista point (at the base of the driveup access), but I've never been along it to know details.
Note: the northbound vista point is smaller, but has little/know visibility to expressway. hookups in car are possible, but play is limited due to no warning of approach.

  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Early morning visits are best (so I've heard) to best avoid any unwanted interruptions. For best results, stay a while, wait through the brief visits by drive through onlookers, they usually come and go quickly once they see and snap their photos.
    Cruisiest Spots: Up top by the fence. Half way up dirt path. Lots of bushes to provide cover.

  • you have to be careful there is a closed vista point on the other side of the freeway where the highway patrol park with binoculars onto this vista point. if you park facing south you can see the road going up and you'll see them parked if they're there.

  • I got out on Edgewood exit, but I only saw a park and ride parking lot. Very crowded and no obvious hiking trail. Did I go to the wrong place? It's not the Vista point next exit right? Could someone clear up the direction?
