Beach along the Palos Verdes cliffs at the southmost end of the bike patch / strand. Hang out by any of the lifeguard stations after 11:30 or so, once the families have left. You'll find what you're looking for if you're patient.

Neighbourhood: Rat Beach

Take Esplenade to Paseo de la Playa and then park anywhere on the right side of the street. Walk down to the parking lot and then take the ramps down to the beach and walk south.
  • Hours:11:30 and on seems to be when the guys come out. I went earlier than one of the ads on CL said and there were families there still, so it seems that the 11:30 and after time is for a reason.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Just park on Paseo de la Playa and walk down to the beach, then go south onto the sand and into the dark areas along the bottom of the Palos Verdes cliffs. You'll find what you're looking for pretty quickly, especially on weekends. Also, double-check the bathrooms. It's hit or miss, but they don't lock them every time.
  • Nudity / Policy:I went down and checked this out. Best times are after 11:30 at night until the early a.m., especially Friday and Saturday nights. I didn't expect much, but boy, was I surprised!
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / It would be difficult for anyone with physical limitations because the ramps down to the beach are surprisingly steep.
  • Warnings:Just make sure you go late. Any earlier and families until nearly midnight.

  • i am down there riding my bike 3 times a week and it is pretty hit or miss...The second to last restroom is open most nights and fun can usually be had around 10-11pm.

  • Someone had posted a craigslist ad that more people should check this place out, specifically tonight at about 11:30. I went, there was a good looking guy there, we found a quiet spot, and he got cold feet. Too bad, he was good looking. This place should get more attention it's dark, hordes of middle schoolers aren't there until all hours (it seems pretty quiet down there by 9 on weeknights), and it gotten that cold.
