Like all rest locations one have to be careful. There is a bench and picnic table behind the remainder area near a wildlife restoration location with tracks. There are exclusive areas along the trails where one is not seen from the remainder location.

The rest area is on westbound Interstate 74 between Bloomington/Normal and Peoria. Google Directions: 1. Head northwest on W Jackson St toward N Maple Ave 0.3 mi 2. Take the 1st right onto N Morton Ave 0.3 mi 3. Turn right to merge onto I-74 E 17.5 mi 4. Take exit 120 toward Carlock 0.3 mi 5. Turn left onto E 2050 North Rd/Co Rd 2050 N 0.2 mi 6. Turn left to merge onto I-74 W Destination will be on the right.

- Be careful. Sitting on the bench or at the picnic table allows one to wait for someone else to take a walk on the trails.
