    Best times: 9am to about 5pm.
    Dates open: all year
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Go to the picnic table and wait for others.
    Cruisiest Spots: Down in the woods there is a picnic table an along beaches at river. Lots of cruising happens there.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Peoria police do patrol but not too much. Sometimes bikers come down to the trails. Sometimes people fish also, but I've never been bothered.

  • The access road to the park is still closed due to the flooding. It looks as if they are pumping water out of the Water Works causing water to still be on the road even though the river is below flood stage. It will still be a while before you can even get into the woods due to the rivers height

  • Drove by yesterday. Looks like the drive is closed and most of the trees are down. Or am I thinking of a different park.

  • A lot of the brush and trees are being cut down causing a lot of the good areas to become visible. Also a lot of dead carp have been washed up onto the river bank causing a bad stench here. And to top it off the police was here this evening patrolling the woods watch out.

  • Like most places in Peoria,the cruisers are mainly old men.Once in a while someone cute and or younger will come by.Watch for police.
