Update 9/24/2008: the movie room is now a passageway to the new maze, the rooms are all now remodled and well done. some of the rooms have windows to a wall a foot or so away which is strange, so ask for rooms that at least have a window to the pool.
home to pumpers weekends which can be fun.
previous comment: Large place (32 rooms) Weekends can be really hot.

Update,
visited Camp Palm Spring and Chapps Inn.
Canyon Club is well situated in Palm Springs. Within pretty easy access to all the other clubs, and a bit of a drive to the Barracks Bar and CCBC.
As a base of operation, I really liked my stay here. The rooms are comfortable, the staff has been very friendly. They are constantly working on the place and of course have to clean up after some of the party pigs that may be less courteous to the staff....
Continental breakfast is a decent one. Have guests over - np. Nice Hot tub, clean warm and big, on a cool night, exceptional. Nice salt water pool. Nice greenery. and they do have a maze/playground as part of the property.
I visited on a slow week, and really didn't hook up with the other guys staying, which was just fine. As a base of operations, I had no problems have men coming to me, or me going to them. At least at the end of the night, I had a comfortable bed and a breakfast waiting for me and a nice place to recover for round 2...3...4.
Right now is a good time to get affordable rooms. Traffic seems a bit low during the economy.
I would prefer this as a place to stay over CPS. And at this price, you can get a day/night pass at CCBC or CPS. Chapps Inn on the other hand is also a very nice place, but you will pay for a leather/bear adventure there. And after I weekend there, I'll post a comment.

I'm having a nice relaxing time....
The place is a great value...
But like anyplace, it all depends what your want and are looking for. I'm having a great time, but mostly with folks I'm hooking up with in Palm Springs.
My room is simple, efficient, the bed big and comfortable. 3 channels of porm (much bareback). Nice pool and hot tub. Friendly staff. Easy in and out.
And the price is right! (look for specials!)

Looking for bears to play with. Will be here December 25th-17th Swing by for fun. Furry man play is the best.

Maybe not as aesthetically pleasing or well groomed as other resorts, but they are making much progress in their remodeling and upgrade of the property. More importantly, they are not nearly as uptight and over-the-top ridiculous in the way that they treat their paying guest's visitors and unpaid personal guests. I like the place, and visit often.
