It would be difficult to top this modern desert gem for its stunning design accents and overall value. With the many private walks, louvered windowed walls, pools and hot tubs, this place was planned for midnight (It's just the wrong crowd showed up.)
Crowd: P.C. couples with late 30's gym perfect bodies. Given the rooms floor-to-ceiling louvered windows, rambling arcades, dimly lit hot tubs & steamroom, with a different clientele this place could be a ual nirvana. (But it ain't)

cruiser update: The big steam room near the lockers has been changed to a TV room,the steam room has been moved to near the dark back TV room and has a new sling intalled and the GH has been removed.--
A hybrid bathhouse and hotel, you can get day passes for lockers (bring your own lock). A badly aging motel built around a swimming pool. Somewhat decrepit, but the action is high enough to overlook the decay.

Built by Howard Hughes in the 1940s as a desert hangout for him and his babes, El Mirasol has had its ups and downs. A few years ago, it was slipping but new owners have doted on the property. Not the sexiest place in the desert, but it does happen.
