cruiser update 5/6/2009:place seems destined to continuously change owners. It's now called Bar Codes. Location is the same but I don't know if the phone number has changed.

Clean bar, suspect it had recently changed hands.

Neighbourhood: Orlando

From I-4 take Lee Rd Exit west to Edgewater then south about 1/2 mile
  • Hours:Noon to 2am. Was busy at 5pm with the after work crowd, mixed ages, some action on the patio.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Great outdoor patio, cruisy, some action.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / easy entrance front or backside.
  • Warnings:Beer and wine only.

  • this is a very nice place to meet friends, chat, flirt and take it elsewhere. i seriously doubt there is any action on the property. if you want to cruise the back parking lot after 3:00 a.m. you are asking to get busted. it almost sounds like the dude promoting such activity is a cop. Don't ya think?

  • The grassy area in the parking lot behind barcodes is a grat area to play around once the bar and everyone leaves. Try not to b there b4 3am but after it is nice and empty. Great spot after hanks bar kicks everyone out.

  • Place is now called Barcodes. Place is a little lame. Was visiting Orlando and saw and advertisment saying that Saturday was Leather Night with 2 for 1 drinks if in leather. Showed up in leather and there were maybe 5 other guys in leather. Then bartender did not give me the 2 for 1 drinks like advertised... almost like he knew nothing about it. This would have been fine if the clientel was decent. Got cruised by a few trolls but all of the normal people seemed to know each other and the people were very "clicky". Was there all night and I would say 2 people struck up a conversation. It was just a bunch of "friends" bullshitting and playing pool. Don't waste your time.. probably would have a better time at Parliament House.

  • It is on the left side, yellow building about 3/4 mile. It is right after Galaxy motors used car lot.

  • If I am coming from downtown towards Altamonte springs and get off at lee road and then go to edgewater drive and go left , then how far down is this bar. and which side of street is it on. Thanks for any info. Jerry

  • yes it is a nice place has a full leather shop thats open weemends very clean and open great out door patio and "fun behind" the fence area !they have themed nites and leather weekends!

  • Ref, Bear Bar: does anyone know if they have any "special" nights?

  • The Bear Bar doesn t open til 3:00pmtil 2:00am out side closes at 1: 30am patio is nice very clean bar Nice bartenders and people are very nice and friendly there Bt becareful playing has been under cover there
