Friendly, Country-Western themed gay bar with line dancing and good music. Also 2 pool tables, patio, lots of rest rooms and reasonable drink prices.

Neighbourhood: East Oakland Park

Go east on Oakland Park Boulevard from I-95. In about a mile, turn right (south) on NE 6 Avenue at the Checkers. It is right around the corner. Additional parking in the K-Mart parking lot. No cover. Always busy.
  • Hours:7 PM until about 1 AM. Bar closes at 3 AM but the crowd moves on about 1 AM.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Central bathroom has 3 urinals without dividers and always lots of window shoppers. Patio is quieter for conversation. Lots of dark places
  • Nudity / Policy:No nudity observed but otherwise very gay friendly and open. Not on premises as a matter of practice. Mgt. could care less, I think.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / Yes
  • Warnings:OPPD is now patrolled by the Sheriff's Dept and they are a little more cosmopolitan. They don't get worked up over gay people.

  • nuderect: Models have a private life, too. We are not make believe. And I don't go into clubs holding a photo up in front of me. I am almost never recognised from a couple of sessions I did a while ago. I'm actually surprised if anyone has actually seen my "work". And I like it that way.

  • I continue to have this place all to myself. LOL. Fine with me. There's such a large selection of cute guys, I just take my pick. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. For some reason, the action dies down after midnight. This place is just a few blocks from the gay Mecca of Wilton Manors, so it's not quite as crowded. Lot's of safe parking. Good drinks at good prices. Best of all: it's raining men.

  • Best kept secret in Broward County: Scandals and Stable on Oakland Park. Fairly new. Extremely busy on Friday and Saturday nights but casual and laid back on Sundays and weekdays. No pressure cruising with friendly staff and a wide selection of customers. I always score here with quality guys (you know who you are). Thanks for the memories.
