update 10/16/2008: The decision to close the car park has been reversed - so it is open all hours
update 5/6/2008: A sign has appeared on the gate to the car park advising that the gate is to be permanently closed and locked so that there is no vehicle access to the car park. The nearest car park is 200 yds along and is well lit. The new path runs adjacent to the river and into the cruising area. Nunn Mills Rd now busier

The gates are now closed every day previous comment: at 15:00 -17:00 including after midnight on Sunday to unlock the gates between these times cost 30 pounds.
Best times: Early pm on weekends and every evening. - Cruising Info/ Tips:Midsummer meadow, little picnic type spot, secluded parking, just down from Becketts Park, directly opposite BMW garage.
