Dusk Lounge

Hidden behind a dull, storefront on a nondescript Chelsea block with only a small, lighted globe for a sign, Dusk is easy to miss. Inside, this sleek, dark and lounge feels like the time of day it's named after: slightly disorienting and full of possibilities. In the front, there's a mirror-mosaic on the wall and a pool table is surrounded by banquettes. The dim, inviting back half is lit only from back-lighted bottles at the impressively long bar. Despite the illicit speakeasy vibe, not everything is clandestine: With a two-way mirror above the urinals providing a clear view of the action at the bar, the bathrooms are definitely not for the pee-shy.
