The bartenders are all HETERO. All privacy is gone. The bouncers check ID cards as if the place were Fort Knox. And, the original owner of Splash is leaving. What does that spell? DISASTER ! This place is THE TOURIST BAR !! No native new yorkers go here anymore !! The music is OK, but, the men are not--they are boring !! Go over to XL or Barracuda where the real hot men and fun are !! Splash is so OVER its as aged and as delapitated as its owner--but, without the BOTOX and facial reconstruction !! It will make a perfect hetero bar when it closes and it will..

Ok Splash isn't like closed for good it is open. However since the cops took a visit things are totally different. Just like another club...Saturday night is hot they got the go-go dancers doing live shows and downstairs you can get a lap dance. guys get in for $5 bucks and the girls have to pay $40. They need to raise the price for the girls admission to $100. I mean hello...It's MEN'S NIGHT! The only action you get up in their is the go-go dancers. It's another disapointment...

Read in the NY Post that Splash was one of several clubs in the neighborhood that was Raided by the Police and shut down. Seems they caught someone selling several thousand dollars worth of Cocaine. Was there last Thursday, and I think it was the next day that the place was shut down. Haven't been by since, and their web site at least is still up, so I can't confirm whether it's definitely closed for good....
