This Park is virtually closed and has been for several months now. The areas described have been clear cut and excavated to provide for a fish spawning stream being put in by the DFO and the city. It has come to light that the city was looking for a way to rid this area of men having with men, and from the looks of what has been done have effectively accomplished what they set out to do. The city has also erected gates at all three entrances to this area along with steal post to the entrance to the duck pond and parking lot. Steel posts have also been placed on the entrance to the road leading to the duck pond at both ends of the road.


Heavy with vegetation and ample well worn paths and trails. Virtually free of annoying insects. Just up the road a bit is a service yard for the park and in the bushes here there is a private area for sucking and . Just find a hidden spot, start masturbating and some man will find you.

Go north on Bowen rd. from downtown (comox st) , pass Wakesiah St...(about 1000 feet is the entrance to the Park)...It is hidden, so go slow.... it is on the right hand side of rd. Take the road inside the park and go till you see Totuem Polls on your left side..this is the entrance to the parking lot.. Park and observe guys crusing ..follow to any of the trails just outside the park lot.

  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Update: 10/23/07
    Be advised that the wash rooms are closed by security at inconsistent times and also the gates get locked by 11 pm. , sometime earlier depending on the schedule of the security co. You can park in the gravel parking lot opposite the curling ring and walk up the hill to the horseshoe pit or park up by the tennis courts and walk down to the horseshoe pit, some nights are very active.

  • At the present there is still action taking place at or near the rhododendron grove, some during the day but is risky, more so at night. Also at night there is action by the horseshoe pit above the wash rooms.

  • Duck Pond and also the east parking lot across from the arena.
  • Nudity / Policy:Only in the bushes at night if you want I guess
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No
  • Warnings:Straight teens driving through making lots of noise, and drug dealers giving the park a bad name.
    Warnings: RCMP patrol every now and again - not to arrest, but to just scare people off the grounds after hours.

  • Hey guys, I run in the park whenever I visit Nanaimo. I will be there Thurs. and Sat morn. just after 0700. I usually run for an hour. I will check the can above the curling rink before, during and after my run. I will be parked nearby. Beige Ford 1 ton truck

Lets meet up at the duck pond where cops are not going to venture. It's blocked off by gates therefore no cars can go in and there not going to venture alone in the dark. This park was awesome at night and I want the fun to come back to it. Let's make it happen. Gay rules....

  • well.. I went here and met the most awesome guy! we played in the park once then met again n went driving. Holye was he awesome. he took me to his apt another time. He worked at Timmies Ho's. Man if you read this I would so like to see you again. lots!!
