Nice trail down to the beach, open area along the shore. You can & get ed on shore, anything else goes back up on the trail. Bring a day backpack if you want to stay (with towel, water, lotion, safety gear, etc).
Crowd: Mix of guys, 22-40 years old, some str8 day trippers and fishermen (str8 & old).

Power Rd North, way north, past the day area at lower Salt River. It's up at mile marker 22, on the left side of the road. Park and face west, then go in the fence opening on route side and walk down the trail.



cruiser adds 5/11/2009: Granite reef can get a little congested with tourists

If you continue on a few miles on you will find coons bluff rd from that intersection (bush hwy and coons bluff rd) you can only go north

About a 1/3 mile north on coons bluff rd there is a place off the road to the left where you can legally park for free with no permit from there is a hiking trail while leads to a variety of ideal discrete cruise locations----
  • Crowd:Mix of guys, 22-40 years old, some str8 day trippers and fishermen (str8 & old).
  • Hours:Noon on, or check it out anytime after 10am, till after 12pm. Nice place just to chill alone, too!
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Just be careful, any gay guy knows the rules!
    Cruisiest Spots: Along the beach area and trails if you get someone to follow you down the trail...or back up!
  • Nudity / Policy:Yes / Take it off and lay out on the beach areas.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No

  • was here about four days ago. was cruising in the north trail area ..as I walked nearly halfway to the river area I seen a Javalina straight ahead of me. We seen each other he got scared and ran off but i hear they can charge you....just watch out for them here they are difficult to see as they blend in with the landscape........

  • Just want to say how much I enjoy my visits to Granite Reef and all the hot guys that I have had fun with. I usually visit at Christmas and have never been disappointed. Can always meet some very playful buds there. Wish I lived there so I could visit and play more often. Thanks guys for the clean and friendly welcum.

  • I am giving up on this place!!!! Everytime i go there i get stalked by old trolls that cant get it up....When someone avoids you a couple times it means not intersted!!! So dont just follow them around so they cant have any luck with someone who can get it up!!!! Spent 2 hours here yesterday being stalked and had no luck.....couldnt hide anywhere..someone give me a better place please..Ill only go back when i plan to meet someone here..

  • hey theerickstur, no address. take powers rd north out of east mesa. pick it up on eastern part of 202 loop. keep north past gravel co., down the hill past little state park. a short distance, you will see a parking lot on left. ck out the trails and/or the parkinf lot. wont take you long to see.
