This YMCA is an older facility but it is clean and well kept. YMCA membership is required but recreational day passes for non-Y members are available for a very modest fee, usually less than $8.00 This Y has an adult policy ( age 18 and over ) men's locker room with a dry sauna, steam room and whirlpool. The shower facilities are the old "gang" style communal showers with no partitions or dividers between the shower heads. The swimming pool is located directly off the locker rooms.

Friday: 5:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Recently, this Y has been closed on Sundays.
Neighbourhood: Hammond/Highland
From I-80/94, from either east or west, exit onto Indianapolis Blvd. north. Follow Indianapolis Blvd. north to 175th St. Go west on 175th St. approximately two blocks to the intersection of Southeastern Ave. Go north on Southeastern Ave. The YMCA is about one-half block north and on the west side of the street.
- Hours:Late afternoons and evenings are usually best. There are a lot of senior citizens who use the facility in the morning (before noon). In the afternoon and evening there are more younger adults getting off work or out of school who come to swim, play basketball, workout or just hang out.
- Cruising Info/ Tips:The best cruising spots are the dry sauna, steam room and whirlpool and showers in the adult locker room. The usual cruising tip apply here, always be careful and never pushy. Walking around naked or with your towel open is acceptable. Making eye contact and being friendly is good as is slight tugs on your and balls in the showers, sauna or steam room but don't be too obvious about it. Watch for the reaction of the other guy.
- Nudity / Policy:Nudity is open and accepted in the adult locker room in general, although many men wrap a towel around themselves. Men use the whirlpool in the nude. They also use the steam room nude but many men keep a towel over their lap in the dry sauna.
- Wheelchair Accessible:No / The facility itself is handicap accessable.
- Warnings:The dry sauna has a large glass window in the wall and the door so it is easy to see in. The steam room has a very small window in the door but because of the dim lighting and steam it is impossible to see in. The whirlpool is located in the immediate area of the showers and the access door to the pool so you can see men showering. There does not seem to be frequent staff activity in this area.
