In the olden days this used to be a HUGE beat, and really busy - it's now been cut back to half its original size, but still very busy and good for cruising. Much more private than the VERY POPULAR nearby beat Harold Alexander Pavillion (St Kilda West / Middle Park).

The toilets are cut into the hill on the esplanade opposite the large lawn area between the Stoke house and the St Kilda pier. They are on Jacka Boulevard near a pedestrian crossing. There are also some steps right next to them leading up to the Esplanade - so park on the Upper Esplanade in front of the Novotel Hotel and walk down the steps, or park on the Lower Esplanade (or in the car park next to The Palace complex).
cruiser adds: Catch the Number 96 St Kilda Beach tram.
Get off at the Nova Hotel - Stop No. 137.
Cross the road, look for the sign, and walk down the stairs,
turn to the right when you reach the footpath.
