A public park and nature area. Has picnic area and several hiking trails, as well as the toilet facility. Action can be found in the restroom as well as along the trails and by the beach (although the restroom is best).

Turn west off of US 31 on Red Apple Road, which is a blinker light on the south edge of Manistee. Red Apple will bend to the south and the entrance to Magoon Creek Natural Area is on the right (west). Total distance from US 31 is about 4.5 miles. The sign is back away from the road just enough that you will need to watch carefully for the entrance. If you reach Fox Farm Road, you have passed it! You may park at the entrance, or drive in about 0.5 mile to another parking area.
  • Hours:Open during Daylight hours, closes at night at dark (9:30 during summer mos). Closed for winter. Best action is at lunch time and early evening.
  • Cruising Info/ Tips:Best spot is the latrine. Action can be found on the trails and at the beach area...but not too much. Hang out at the toilet long enough and you'll hook up.
  • Nudity / Policy:No allowed nudity.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:No / No actual handicap access. Someone with physical limitations can get around at the latrine/picnic area though.
  • Warnings:Remember this is a small community. Action can be hit or miss. This area is still used by family types, so be discreet.

  • A great spot - have hooked up several times but it is hit or miss. I go there usually about 12:00 noon during the summer.
