    you need a membership to get into Bally's, Gold's, LA Fitness and 24 Hour Fitness.

    That being said, you can call them and tell them you are thinking about joining and would like a tour and day pass. They will try to get you to sign up, but with the economy the way it is, just tell them that you are still looking.

    If you have a friend that is a member, ask them if they can get friends day passes.
