This is not a gay bar per say - but seems to be quite gay friendly. I've talked with the owner a few times and he used to live in New York City and seens unfazed by gays and comfortable with gay men and women alike. The Irish bartender is a little cold but he follows the owner's lead in terms of what the atmosphere of the place is to be.
Crowd: Mixed crowd -- not overtly gay but plenty of cute mid-twenties and up gays. Quite a few lesbians, too. Local fishermen are sometimes there -- best to be discreet when they are around. Owner has been known to let rooms be used on slow weekends. mostly in winter.

Go straight through village of Kennebunkport, over bridge until you reach stop sign at Nott house. Turn left, then bear left about 1/2 mile down round. Village Cove Inn is down hill on left.

- Warnings:The place is small and can get quite crowded and rowdy with tourist preppy types and local rednecks in the summer. The late autumn, winter and spring are the best.
