cruiser update 4/1/2009:Price currently is $7.00 for a one time membership and $15.00 for a locker rental for 6 hours. Add $10.00 for a one time exit/return fee which also extends your stay to 8 hours. Discount for military and students with proper I.D.; special discount coupons from 80% Straight, and The Cabana's in Waikiki.

Here is some information that might explain some of the rules...The reason for the 6-hour limit is because of a local law(s) regarding transient lodging. If they allow a stay in excess of a certain time limit, the classification would have to be changed to a hotel operation, then everything will get messy.The reason for no backpacks or packages is for the safety of the people attending the club.The reason for membership is to keep this a private club.he 'gym' has its own membership fees and rates. It is well equipped. The price is in line with other clubs on the mainland. And, like those clubs, the types of patrons can vary from day to day, morning and evenings. Weekends are best of course, and weekends after paydays better.

Located in Eton Sq. 4th Floor. Max is a bit tricky to find the first time, Like ALL boys clubs. But well worth it.
From the Convention center go across the Alawai canal bridge, ON KALAKAUA Ave. towards Diamond Head. Turn right Ena Road at 7-11. Turn right again on Hobron Ln. Go mid block. Eton Square brick arch entry just past basement grocery store. [ Food land ?] The parking garage just past Max's is attached to Eton Square. You could park on the 4th floor and walk in direct.
I myself like to sneak in the back way from the canal side through the service tunnel and up the elevator. But I don't think you can find that route on first visit, check it on your way out.

    Best times: Free are provided and there are no roaches in the locker rooms...maybe once in a while but that's Hawaii. Best times are Fri Sat nights, 10 - 4am, Sundays after church and brunch

    Cruisiest Spots: Wherever I am, but try the steam room.
  • Nudity / Policy:Yes / Everyone but me in towel, So I think they are OK with nude./ policy is NOT discussed or posted but anything seems to go.
  • Wheelchair Accessible:Yes / cruiser adds 4/1/2009: They prefer not to have handicapped admitted. This is a sore point and may cause ADA eyebrows to be raised, but can you imagine a wheelchair going through a tight maze with guys naked in the dark having their s run over by wheels or spokes? This kinda goes hand-in-hand with the private club and right for refusal.

  • Sunday, noon, 3/22 Steam room was out of order and "being serviced". Bummer, and slightly irritating because the steam room seems to be out pretty often. Heard it wasn't working for the last week, but was not able to verify that info.

    I went in anyway, and there were quite a few people. Got everything (and everyone!) I needed and wanted in the two hours I was there. More people coming in as I left. A good time.

  • Having that attitude, thank God MuscleboyhungXL probably won't be going back. I'm imagine he's somebody's type but I doubt he's the Adonis he profiles himself as. No pic to show us that he's all that! It will be so funny the day that he's categorized as one or more of those adjectives he used to describe Max's clientele as and disgusted by - and he will have his day!

  • I've gone there different times and days, all depends on the day, somedays empty somedays are full, from trolls to hot asian men....too expensive, however it is the only bathhouse on the island.......overall sporadic action, clean when i have been there, however way overpriced....
