  • I want to amend my 3/20/09 review regarding groups of people (employees and their friends) hanging around the central register and making loud comments about customers. Apparently that practice has ended as the last few times I have visited there has been only one employee at the register, no friends hanging out, and if there is another employee in the store, he/she is in the office. But jo0303 is right, bring your own small bills for the video arcade. Asking any of the employees to break a bill comes with some comment about not giving you all ones. So for a $10 you get one $5 bill and five $1 bills, and for a $20, its three $5 bills and five $1 bills. Is keeping lots of $1's really that hard? Maybe they could empty the machines of cash more frequently. I dunno...I wish this place would get a manager that understands the business a bit better. Anyway, its better than before, just bring all your own small bills.

  • Clint02 makes a good point. There is one nice girl on staff. The others are hideous. I too have been oogled as I walked in through the front door to the GH boths and do not like it. Then there;s the tallish blond guy with a really bad attitude. All I did was ask for change and he looked at me like I was slime. Geez. Not a happy person that one. Devine Pleasures is hit or miss (as is this place) but the environment is sooo much better there than here. I have stopped going to Suzie's because I just don't feel comfortable and b/c of the staff's (most anyway) attitude and some of the guys who hang out there at the cash register. If you're closeted like me, steer clear of this place.....

  • Went there today, but didn't feel like going into the arcade. The group of people (employees and friends) hanging around the central cash register talking loudly and commenting on everyone and everything in the store is really weird and slightly intimidating. I'm not ashamed or embarrassed but I don't need to be in a place that tolerates a gaggle of people watching everyone and making all sorts of comment. Who wants to be the subject of gossip? I just left. Not sure why the owner allows this to go on. Can it be good for business?

  • There are two sets of booths at the far end that each have gh's. Pretty good set up and counter people leave you alone as long as you keep the videos playing. New location is short walk from Ala Moana Shopping Center.

  • I will be in Hawaii in November and I remember the old location of Susie's. It was patrolled pretty heavily by the vice squad. Is this new location safer, and what is it's layout. Does it have a lot of glory holes or just one in the back?
