Make sure you put this place on your list of must see places. A small bar with lots of history, class and character. I truly miss it.

Is this a pick up place or just a bar? I figure with all the tourists that are in town that this would be a natural place to hook up.

will be staying in a room in the hotel that Hula's is in...hoping to meet some locals and/or visitors. May 14-18

I have no bias...and I must say, this really is a cool bar. I went there alone and met several guys from out of town. Everyone was relaxed and friendly. The staff was wonderful...the have waiters and waitresses that come and take your order who are cute and very friendly. The view is awesome. Definitely a must while in Waikiki.

Hula's is the best in Hawaii. I've lived here for longer than any of the gay bars now operating have been open. The owner is a "Give back to the community guy." Very friendly. He's always improving the place. Each of the employees with an occasional exception is charming and friendly. Many now my name and remember me, and what I drink. Hula's is an Oasis of class and fun and hot guys from all over the World. Be sure to go there. Aloha Kal96

This is one of America's great gay bars.
You can not beat the views, the service, the cruising. everyone is friendly here, you do the rest.
Do not be steared clear by previous coments, I have been there every night since monday, and it's nothing but great.

Daemetri you must have lucked out, it seems no one is happy with Hula's these days. Glad you enjoyed it, maybe they are getting the message, but I am still staying away until I hear they have changed their staff's attitude...

I was just there last night. A lot of the bartenders and waiters are really cool and nice and talkative. The hotel itself isn't bad, a friend of mine lives there. The people are not horrible either.
